There are several types of stinging insects in the Pacific Northwest.
The most common we see here are the paper wasps, bald faced hornets, and yellow jackets.
Madrona Pest Control Services is trained to treat these nests directly. We do not remove the nests, it's possible for another wasp colony to re-inhabit this space. The good news is, once a nest is dead, wasps and hornets do not re-infest the dead nest.
Our one time treatments come with a 30 days warranty. If within the first 10-14 days the nest is not dead, we will come out to re-treat the nest.
We also cover wasps and hornets on our recurring programs. This is beneficial during the warmer months as several nests can show up randomly between months. Instead of paying a fee for each nest, customers can call our office, and we can come out at no charge in between your regular service intervals.
Contact our office today to schedule a treatment, treatments start at 149+tax.
We also offer military and elderly 10% discounts.
Bald-faced hornets are a type of wasp known for their distinctive black and white coloring and aggressive nature. They build large, paper-like nests in trees or shrubs and are highly protective of their colonies, which makes them a threat when disturbed.
Yellow jackets are small, aggressive wasps known for their bright yellow and black markings. They build nests in the ground or in cavities. They often pose a risk to humans and pets due to their painful stings and the difficulty of spotting their hidden nests.
Paper wasps are social insects known for their slender bodies, narrow waists, and long legs, typically brown with yellow markings. They construct open, umbrella-shaped nests made of a papery material, usually found hanging from eaves or branches. Unlike more aggressive wasps, paper wasps are generally passive but will sting if they feel threatened.
